Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Merchandise Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in driving sales and profitability through effective product management.

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the Merchandiser in delivering sales, stock turn and contribution budgets. This includes developing a deep understanding of our clients and using data and analytics to tailor ranges that meet their needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist the Merchandiser in building a commercial and strategic range
  • Support the Merchandiser in forecasting and trading, including reviewing information and ensuring all aspects of strategic planning are met
  • Develop a robust knowledge of our client base and use this knowledge to make recommendations and tailor ranges
  • Identify products for repricing and make recommendations relating to this to the Merchandiser
  • Support the production of reports, including strategy, sign-off and store range presentations/campaign packs
  • Check for accuracy and provide feedback to support the development of the Merchandising Administrative Assistant

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • 3 years' experience in a merchandising, analytical or finance-related role at an equivalent level
  • Relevant qualification in a retail, analytical or commerce-related subject, or equivalent experience
  • Strategic thinker with strong numerical acumen and the ability to identify commercial opportunities
  • Excellent communication, engagement and presentation skills

Requirements

  • Flexibility and adaptability required as responsibilities may evolve and change depending on business needs

Experience

  • Proven track record of managing stakeholders cross-functionally
