Job Summary:

We are seeking a Horticultural Specialist to join our team at Clare Tourism Development DAC. As a key member of our property maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of flowers, trees, and green spaces across our attractions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain flowers, trees, and green spaces
  • Monitor the health of all greenspaces
  • Water and feed plants, trim trees and shrubs, weed gardens, and keep green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter
  • Maintain equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and fertilizers, while following health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Experience as a horticultural professional
  • Good plant knowledge
  • Knowledge of pest and diseases and how to manage them
  • Knowledge of synthetic and natural fertilizers
  • Ability to work on their own and in all weather conditions
  • Liaise with the Gardener manager to identify issues in advance of seasonal requirements
