Job Details

We are currently hiring a Construction Site Leader to join our team in Cork.

  • Lead the management of construction site operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Oversee health and safety on site, implementing measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Manage plant on site, ensuring it is fit for purpose and properly certified.
  • Develop and implement project execution plans, communicating changes to stakeholders.
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers, advising quantity surveyors on tender packs and commercial matters.
  • Review design documents and participate in design team meetings.
  • Coordinate daily activities, delegating tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Develop and manage short-term target programmes, reporting weekly progress.
  • Ensure all works comply with building regulations, design documents, and industry standards.
  • Communicate clear quality specifications to site teams and subcontractors.
  • Implement Cairn's quality assurance systems and documentation.
  • Create efficient work sequences, coordinating with various stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience in large-scale residential construction.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations and certification standards.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets.
  • Good spoken and written communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
