We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Credit Risk Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing credit risk associated with airline clients across the EMEA region.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze transactions for airline and jurisdiction risk, ensuring that all necessary due diligence is completed in a timely manner.\
  • Assist in collections, restructuring non-performing lessees, and repossessions, working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve any issues that may arise.\
  • Conduct thorough assessments of aviation investment opportunities, including analyzing market trends and financial performance.\
  • Manage and oversee the development of in-house credit risk models, ensuring they remain up-to-date and effective.\
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including airlines, lessors, and investors, to ensure effective risk coverage.\
  • Provide high-quality credit risk analysis and reports to senior management, lenders, and investors as required.\
  • Support the business in defining portfolio shape and disposal potential, identifying opportunities for growth and optimization.\

Requirements:

  • \
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in airline credit/risk management.\
  • Strong business writing skills and ability to present complex analysis clearly and effectively.\
  • Experience producing detailed credit analyses of airlines, including liquidity, cash flow, leverage, fleet, and network analysis.\
  • Relevant degree (finance, accounting, aviation finance, etc.).\
  • Deep understanding of the aviation industry and aircraft leasing/financing fundamentals.\
  • Proven ability to analyze companies/airlines and sector trends.\
  • Commercial outlook and deal-driven mindset.\
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with external parties such as airlines and lessors.\
  • Strong organizational skills and proactive approach.\
  • Flexibility to travel as required.\
