About the Opportunity

Join our dynamic team at Designer Group as we continue to grow and expand our operations across various regions. As a Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of health and safety on our projects.

We are seeking an experienced professional who can lead by example and promote a positive safety culture throughout our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience in conducting site audits, assessing contractors, and developing safety policies. They will also be proficient in Microsoft and document control.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement controls.
  2. Assess and audit contractors to ensure compliance with our safety procedures.
  3. Develop and maintain Behavioural Safety Policies and provide training to employees.
  4. Manage and maintain all EHS documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Hold a recognised third level qualification or Diploma in Health & Safety.
  • At least three years' experience in health and safety, preferably in construction or electrical engineering.
  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and document control systems.
