Sterilization Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Decontamination Operative to join our team at UPMC Kildare Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality service in cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of medical instruments.
- Responsibilities include:
- Decontaminating used medical devices using mechanical methods
- Inspecting and testing medical devices, reporting any discrepancies
- Assembling, inspecting, and packing instrument sets and equipment for sterilization
- Loading and unloading autoclaves, sterilizing packs and sets of instruments
- Preparing and examining packs for storage
- Distributing and storing sterilized equipment and instruments appropriately
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

About the Role- This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a 20-hour working week
