Job DescriptionAs a Marine Engineering Officer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of shipboard systems, including engines, electrical generators, and auxiliary machinery. You will oversee the main electrical distribution systems, air conditioning, ventilation, heating systems, as well as all fuel and water systems. Additionally, you will manage and train personnel onboard ships to ensure their safety and efficiency.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be eligible for this role, candidates must possess a marine qualification deemed equivalent to a certain level by the Minister for Defence. This qualification should demonstrate a thorough understanding of shipboard systems and operations.
Candidates must also be able to lead and manage personnel effectively, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
