Veterinary Surgeon Role Overview

The role of Veterinary Surgeon is a key position within our team, requiring a skilled and experienced professional to undertake surgical procedures and provide high-quality care to animals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in small animal surgery and be able to work independently, with occasional sole charge responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake surgical procedures on a range of animal species, including dogs, cats and exotic animals.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and clients to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and advancements in veterinary surgery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • VCI registration as a veterinary surgeon.
  • Strong background in small animal surgery, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possession of or willingness to pursue a Certificate in Surgery or other relevant qualification.
