Automated Entrance System Installation Engineer

Our organisation seeks skilled engineers to undertake planned maintenance and reactive tasks for our clients.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving quality upwards. They will work on a wide range of automated equipment, including auto entrance doors, industrial doors, automatic gates, and vehicle barriers.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform condition reports and undertake various planned maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and repair faults in automated equipment.
  • Install and commission new equipment types.
  • Understand and implement company procedures at all times.
  • Follow risk assessment protocols to ensure safety and prevent damage.
  • Approach tasks in a logical and focused manner.
  • Attend training and / or undertake qualifications to stay up-to-date with current regulations and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Hold relevant trade and/or technical qualifications in electrical or mechanical disciplines.
  • Have experience in the repair, maintenance, or installation of Automatic Door or Gate Systems or similar equipment.
  • Demonstrate electrical competency.
  • Hold a clean valid driving licence.
  • Be able to read and understand technical drawings and literature.
  • Have a proven ability to use mobile technology and handle paperwork efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Be self-motivated with a track record of achieving targets.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Hold one or more of the following: ADSA BS7036 Authorised Technician Card, ADSA BS EN 16005 Qualification, a recognised gate industry qualification and / or City & Guilds NVQ level 3 or similar in an engineering discipline.
  • Be a CSR card holder.
