Project Lead: Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with various high-profile projects, leveraging your expertise in commercial management and negotiation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quantity surveying, ideally with a strong background in managing complex projects across multiple sectors. Your exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients and design teams will be essential in driving project success.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of monthly Value Cost Reconciliation and Forecasting reports, preparing and agreeing payment claims, and identifying potential delays and disruptions. You will also play a key part in administering contracts, procuring subcontractors and suppliers, and negotiating final accounts.

Your expertise in contract administration, particularly with RIAI, GCC, and bespoke forms, will be invaluable. Proficiency in software packages like Cubit, CostX, and COINS is highly desirable. Additionally, a full driver's license is required for this position.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production of monthly Value Cost Reconciliation and Forecasting reports.
  • Prepare and agree monthly project Payment Claims.
  • Identify and quantify the effects of Delay and Disruption on projects.
  • Monitor all ongoing commercial aspects during the course of the project.
  • Liaise with Clients and Client Representatives.
  • Administer the provisions of the Contract in respect to notifications.
  • Procure Subcontractors & Suppliers.
  • Negotiate and agree Sub Contractor final accounts.
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years experience in a QS role.
  • Contractually and commercially astute.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Dealing with clients and design teams.
  • Excellent Negotiator.
  • Experience administering RIAI, GCC & Bespoke forms of contract.
  • IT Literate.
  • Experience with Cubit, CostX & COINS software packages preferable.
  • A full driver's licence is required for this role.
