Job Title: Principal Software Engineer

Fully remote positions are available in Ireland preferred.

We seek a visionary Principal C# .NET software engineer to lead the creation of a high-impact development team.

This leadership role offers the chance to define technical strategies, shape architecture, and drive innovation on critical projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of complex software solutions using C# and .NET technologies
  • Define and drive architectural standards, patterns, and best practices across the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and other architects to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Mentor and coach senior developers, fostering technical excellence and continuous learning
  • Oversee code quality, testing strategies, and deployment pipelines to ensure robust, secure, and maintainable applications
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes to improve team productivity and software quality
  • Lead technical risk assessments, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure timely resolution of architectural challenges

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional development experience with strong expertise in C# or Java
  • At least 10 years of experience in software architecture design and leadership roles
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar), microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs
  • Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance distributed systems
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams and stakeholders
  • Passion for mentoring, team building, and fostering a culture of technical excellence

About the Role:
