Electrical Design Engineer Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as an Electrical Design Engineer, where you will be responsible for working within multi-disciplined engineering teams to deliver innovative design solutions for new concepts and customisation of existing products. You will ensure delivery to cost, time, quality and adherence to strict regulations.

Responsibilities include liaising with third-party vendors in support of projects and supporting prototyping for new projects considering implications such as cost, safety and time constraints. Additionally, you will create relevant documentation, including test plans and reports, and provide end-to-end support on an electrical basis throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders to assist with production investigating, troubleshooting and resolution of build and test issues. You will also support change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis and implementation.

As a key member of the engineering team, you will work closely with colleagues to achieve key milestones and deadlines. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to interface effectively with customers, manufacturing, suppliers and production. You will also have the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree or apprenticeship (or equivalent) in electrical or mechanical engineering or a minimum of 2 years' experience working in an engineering environment. Previous experience with design software packages such as Auto Cad, Pro E, Solidworks, Catia etc. is essential. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) is also required.
