The successful candidate will join ENGINEERINGUK as a Technical Project Manager for our High Voltage (HV) electrical engineering projects. This role involves working within the technical design authority for the transmission system, ensuring that technical queries are dealt with efficiently and in accordance with TSO standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Query Resolution: Ensure that technical queries raised during projects are dealt with in accordance with TSO standards and policies.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure that projects are carried out in a manner that meets requirements.
  • Detailed Design Review: Review and compare submitted detailed designs against functional requirements and outline designs.
  • Construction Monitoring: Monitor construction progress and conduct onsite inspections to ensure compliance with standards, functional requirements, and outline designs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience post-graduate.
  • Transmission Substation design expertise with experience assessing substation designs for conformity to standards at 110/220/400 kV.
  • Digital savvy, able to build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
  • Experience completing onsite inspections and monitoring construction progress for compliance to ensure transmission assets can be commissioned in accordance with standards.
