Fleet Technical Supervisor Role Summary

As a Fleet Technical Supervisor, you will oversee all technical elements of the fleet, leading and mentoring a skilled technical team. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Guiding and motivating a dedicated technical team in executing the fleet management business plan.
  • Managing multiple contracts related to fleet maintenance, including tyre management, service, repair, and general upkeep.
  • Conducting regular inspections of fleet vehicles to identify and report on mechanical defects.
  • Providing comprehensive technical reports to inform management decisions regarding fleet operations.

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A qualification at level 7 or equivalent on the National Framework of Qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as Transport Operations and Technology, Transport Logistics, Transport Management, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Senior trade certificate/National Craft certificate in a motor trade discipline.
  • 5 years' minimum experience in a fleet management operation or automotive industry management role, with leadership abilities and experience in supporting team performance and guiding a team.
  • Technical training and maintaining a large diverse vehicle fleet.
  • Experience working with electric and hybrid vehicles.
