Procurement Manager Role

This position is responsible for leading the procurement process for key projects, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a purchasing role and be able to manage a team. Engineering experience is advantageous, as is knowledge of the construction industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop project-specific procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Lead scheduled procurement meetings with project teams to monitor supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular business reviews and negotiation of framework agreements.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities and make recommendations for supplier selection based on our supplier qualification process.
  • Ensure compliance with our quality procedures within the division.
  • Prepare project and division procurement reports to inform strategic decision making.
  • Identify and develop departmental and interdepartmental process improvements in conjunction with key stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Ability to manage a team and lead cross-functional projects.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a purchasing role with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Engineering experience or knowledge of the construction industry highly desirable.
  • Relevant 3rd level qualification, such as IIPMM or equivalent, preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including SAP, is required.
