About the Job

We are seeking a highly experienced Financial Director to lead our accounting/finance function in our new US expansion. The successful candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with experience in senior-level roles and a proven track record of leading teams and driving growth.

The job involves designing and delivering financial strategies, implementing financial controls, and overseeing tax, audit, and compliance activities. The successful candidate will take ownership of the monthly and annual close processes, manage corporate budgets, and assist in commercial decision-making processes.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Design and deliver new financial strategies and projects
  • Implement financial controls and oversee tax, audit, and compliance activities
  • Take ownership of the monthly and annual close processes

  • Grow and expand the finance team

Requirements

  • 3rd level degree qualified or above in a relevant discipline
  • 5-6+ years experience in an FC/FM or other senior-level accounting role
  • Fully qualified accountant ideally with a Big4 training background
  • Prior experience from a start-up type environment would be a major advantage
  • Experience from the pharma, medical devices, or related sectors would be an advantage
