The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, staff, and community activities. They will also report to the Board on strategy, finances, and governance, as well as develop business and marketing plans to increase engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the main point of contact for the Centre
- Manage daily operations, staff, and community activities
- Report to the Board on strategy, finances, and governance
- Develop business and marketing plans to increase engagement
- Build strong relationships with local groups, schools, and stakeholders
- Oversee health and safety, including emergency procedures
- Welcome customers, respond to enquiries, and manage bookings
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and funding applications
- Support the coffee shop as a social enterprise
- Recruit, train, and manage staff performance
- Maintain building and equipment through planned maintenance
- Participate in local networks and community projects
- 2+ years in a management role
- Strong financial and budget management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work with a diverse community
- IT skills and the ability to use digital tools
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector is a plus
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Approachable, solution-focused, and calm under pressure
