About This Opportunity:

Sigmar Recruitment is partnering with a renowned MNC company based in Galway City, seeking an experienced payroll operations lead to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll function for the group entity, ensuring efficient, on-time, and compliant payroll for 4,000 employees.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of payroll specialists to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Review and sign-off on payroll in line with company policy and best practices in payroll controls.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and all local regulations.
  • Partner with the payroll software provider to optimize software use and automate reporting.
  • Develop a suite of metrics to monitor payroll process efficiency and share key trends with site leadership.

Your Ideal Profile:

  • Level 8 Bachelor's Degree in relevant areas (e.g., Commerce, Business, Accounting).
  • In-depth knowledge of Irish employment tax, ideally supported by a recognized qualification from ITI, IPASS, or similar.
  • Experience running payroll services for similar companies with a passion for customer service.
  • Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
