Job Overview

This role involves working with a team to support CAE activities in the area of structural mechanics. The selected candidate will leverage industry-leading FEA tools together with hands-on material or product testing to validate models and build confidence in results generated.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing within ongoing projects. They will need to interface with and report to stakeholders to obtain necessary information to deliver successful results for projects and build competence and reputation of simulation and test engineering group in Neurovascular division.

Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker's 2026 Cooperative cohort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support project activities through simulation and testing
  • Ensure quality of deliverables for self as well as team
  • Perform simulations and develop critical insights regarding product performance.
  • Contribute to capability building by identifying potential areas and developing capabilities.
  • Ensure simulations are meeting regulatory requirements by adopting ASME V&V40 guidelines.
  • Liaison with team members as well as stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and maintaining timelines
  • Extract and process test data/findings into both formal written and verbal reports which comply with FDA requirements and appropriate engineering standards
  • Comply with documentation procedures and maintain test laboratory housekeeping standards to highest level
  • Effectively adapts to practically working in workplace by being dependable, punctual, initiative-taking, hardworking, organised and a team-player
Required Skills and Qualifications

The following skills are required:

  • Good command over solid mechanics.
  • Understanding of material properties
  • Awareness and ideally experience with CAE packages such as SolidWorks, Ansys, ABAQUS, Altair Radioss and HyperMesh.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Effective interpersonal, communications skills and demonstrated track of having worked in global team setup
