The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering person-centered care to clients, supporting them with daily living activities, and providing emotional support and companionship.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Providing prompting with prescribed medication
  • Preparing and serving meals and snacks
  • Performing light housekeeping duties, such as vacuuming and dusting
  • Assisting clients with mobility and transfers
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a care-giving role
  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent - must have 2 modules 'Care Skills' and 'Care of the Older Person' at a minimum
  • A full driving license and access to a car is desirable, but not essential depending on location
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
