About the Role

This Senior Technical Artist position offers an unparalleled opportunity to push boundaries and drive excellence in visual storytelling. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cutting-edge technologies and art workflows that elevate our games to new heights.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Built and maintain environments, props, characters, shaders, lighting, rigs and other visual elements.
  • Collaborate with Art and Engineering teams to research and identify new workflows and technologies for improved pipelines and streamlined creation processes.
  • Resolve complex technical issues related to character rigging, animation, hair and cloth simulations, and performance capture.
  • Mentor junior technical artists to foster growth and development within the team.
  • Establish and implement efficient naming conventions within assets, tools, and workflows.
  • Cultivate daily collaboration with fellow technical artists to discover opportunities for enhanced workflows and tools.
  • Partner with the engineering team to ensure build stability and optimize memory and performance budgets.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in the games, film, or animation industries.
  • Proficiency in C#/C++ programming languages.
  • Fluency in Maya with extensive experience writing animation, rigging, shaders, and UI tools.
  • Familiarity with Python, MEL Script/Maya API, and Substance Painter/Designer.
  • Experience researching, piloting, and implementing new techniques to drive innovation.
  • Strong understanding of gaming platform limitations and advantages.
