Process Safety Expert

We are seeking an experienced Process Safety Specialist to join our team at an upper-tier COMAH site.

  • Participate in project design reviews, HAZIDS, Risk Assessments, and HAZOPS for proposed new equipment, modifications, and new product introductions.
  • Ensure management of change processes are followed and serve as an EHS reviewer for planning activities impacting facility operations.
  • Coordinate support from relevant SMEs such as Industrial Hygiene, Process Safety, Environmental, Machinery Safety, etc.
  • Provide Process Safety support for existing processes, new material introductions, and project work.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or related Safety or Environmental field.
  • Over 5 years of EHS, Engineering, or Operational experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, petrochemical, or process industries.
  • Knowledge of HAZOP, LOPA, ATEX, and Change Control.
About the Role:

This is a key position responsible for ensuring the safe operation of plant processes and systems. The successful candidate will have a specialization in Process Safety and be able to provide support for existing processes, new material introductions, and project work.

The role involves participating in project design reviews, HAZIDS, Risk Assessments, and HAZOPS for proposed new equipment, modifications, and new product introductions. This includes ensuring that all changes to the plant are properly assessed and controlled to minimize risk.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. They should also have a strong understanding of industry regulations and standards related to Process Safety.
