Associate Director Environmental Scientist Job Summary">

We are seeking an Associate Director of Environmental Science to join our Environmental Science team. This role involves playing a key part in supporting the growth of our environmental services and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work on a diverse range of environmental projects, including planning and EIAR, waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permitting, industrial emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Director and Senior Leadership Team
  • Lead and manage the Environmental Science Team
  • Oversee project planning and delivery in coordination with Project Managers
  • Lead multidisciplinary civil and environmental design teams to ensure timely, high-quality, and cost-effective project delivery
  • Manage client relationships and oversee effective communications
  • Identify and drive business development and growth opportunities
  • Supervise, mentor, and support team members at various levels
  • Review and approve technical reports, proposals, and tender documentation
  • Ensure adherence to quality assurance systems, management processes, and relevant health and safety legislation
">Required Skills and Qualifications">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant environmental discipline, with Chartership status
  • A minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or managerial position
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams
  • Strong track record of engagements with clients, external stakeholders, and sub-consultants
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and client relationship management
  • Proficient in budget creation and financial management of projects
  • A dynamic and proactive professional with excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and a strong team member
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Willingsness to travel for site visits and client meetings as required
