Casualty Underwriter Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Casualty Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping our underwriting strategy and ensuring the integrity of our risk assessment process.

Your primary responsibility will be to underwrite new business and renewals according to defined underwriting guidelines, while maintaining accurate files and monitoring existing policies.

Responsibilities
  • Underwrite new business and renewals.
  • Develop and manage the portfolio, market profile, and producer relationships.
  • Maintain accurate files and monitor policies.
  • Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and ethical standards.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of underwriting principles.
  • Experience in Casualty underwriting environment.
  • Solid communication skills.
  • Results-driven with ability to make decisions and work on own initiative.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of Public Liability and Employer's Liability coverage, as well as experience in dealing with clients and brokers.
