Counsellor Position

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled counsellor to join our team at the Daughters of Charity Community Services. As a counsellor, you will work closely with our team to provide high-quality support services to individuals and families in need.

About the Role
  • Provide structured counselling support to service participants, including teenagers, adults, and older people.
  • Adhere to professional standards of case preparation, client confidentiality, information sharing, and record-keeping.
  • Work collaboratively with the Central Services Support Team to provide holistic care and support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality counselling services to clients on a referral basis.
  2. Liaise with service managers and staff to ensure seamless case referrals and management.
  3. Maintain accurate documentation, records, and statistics for funding applications and reports.
  4. Establish links with external agencies, professional bodies, and local community services to facilitate client referrals and support.
Required Qualifications and Experience
  • A level 8 degree in Counselling/Psychotherapy.
  • Accredited membership of IACP.
  • 5 years' experience in counselling similar settings with similar service users.
  • Evidence of CIPD and further education.
