Job Summary

We are recruiting for a qualified Electrician to join our maintenance team with one of our pharmaceutical clients in Little Island, Cork.

The ideal candidate will have experience in testing and maintenance of functional safety and the ability to read electrical drawings and P&IDs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field execution of baseline process testing, gathering information on the current E-Stop and Isolator performance.
  • Supporting development of a PSM asset prioritisation tool.
  • Defining suitable testing standard for e-stops and isolators on site by identifying the testing type and ensuring that the device is tested and is functioning as per design intent.
  • Working with equipment owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), and Engineering Reliability managers to understand the most effective means of testing each device.
  • Developing any required test scripts/Wis for execution of PSM checks.
  • Supporting naming conventions, JP/PM strategies.
  • Identifying critical spare parts required for stock as well as for JPs.
  • Identifying where vendor support may be better placed to carry out PSM testing.
  • Providing technical input from field testing and test scripts into the Programme lead.
  • Supporting development of JP/PMs in line with planners and Area owners/SMEs.

Requirements

  • Electrical Trade Qualification required
  • Experience in testing and maintenance of functional safety (emergency shutdowns, Safety circuitry, hardwire controls, safety instrumented systems etc.)
  • Ability to read electrical drawings and P&IDs.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in Reliability maintenance or engineering teams.
  • Experience in Maintenance management and Reliability programs.
  • Knowledge of engineering reliability maintenance best practices and experience of establishing or optimising programs; knowledge of process safety and functional safety equipment would be an advantage.
