About the Role
The Senior Security & Threat Monitoring Analyst will join our Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) team, where they will investigate events of interest and incidents, facilitate standard processes to contain and eradicate threats, and escalate incidents as needed. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Investigate events of interest and incidents, prioritize and categorize them based on severity and impact.
- Facilitate standard processes to contain, eradicate, and respond to threats, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of UKG data and services.
- Escalate incidents to GSOC Director for additional scrutiny and incident declaration.
- Collaborate with internal and external groups to develop and execute containment, eradication, and recovery strategies for lower-priority incidents.
Responsibilities
- Review escalated tickets from L1 or L2 analysts, confirm priority, category, and accuracy of details, and pivot to additional security tools to obtain context or information.
- Escalate tickets as required to GSOC Director for additional scrutiny and incident declaration.
- Collaborate with internal and external groups to develop and execute containment, eradication, and recovery strategies for lower-priority incidents.
- Identify, approve, and implement blocking and listing mechanisms to promote a robust security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.
- 4+ years of experience in security/SOC roles.
- Knowledge of common attack vectors, different classes of attacks, and cyber attackers.
- Experience with Splunk, Google Chronicle, Elastic Search, EDR solutions, email security tools, and cloud environments (GCP, Azure).
