About the Role

You will act as a key interface for clients, overseeing construction compliance and environmental health and safety matters across our portfolio.

Providing leadership and commitment to client program/project management activities, you will ensure all project solutions meet the highest standards of environmental, quality and safety regulations.

Directly reporting to a senior member of the team,

you will be based at our HQ in Arklow and visit various client sites.

This is a full-time position with 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement robust project portfolio planning and scheduling.
  • Ensure all project solutions adhere to environmental, quality and safety standards and current building regulations.
  • Manage contractors effectively, ensuring site-specific risk assessments are produced and signed off, site records and insurances are in place, and details for subcontractors are captured and reported.
  • Provide direct on-site supervision when required, ensuring key contractors and their teams safely deliver high-quality projects.
  • Maintain daily communication and engagement with in-house and on-site project teams, leading and motivating others through exceptional performance, positive values and behaviors.
  • Communicate confidently with clients, contractors, builders and architects to understand their needs and adapt accordingly.
  • Become an ambassador for our organization on site, building trusting partnerships and a customer-focused reputation with clients.
  • Ensure thorough hand-over processes are completed for each construction project.
  • Audit project sites for compliance and project delivery.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to line managers on key performance indicators related to project objectives, status and milestones.
  • Adhere to our Company Safety Statement, site safety rules and all safety regulations.
  • Proactively and reactively manage non-compliance or EHS concerns, preparing incident reports and escalating concerns as necessary.
Requirements
  • Experience in a Compliance and/or Construction EHS role.
  • Carpentry, Joinery, Timber Construction or Construction finishing would be beneficial.
  • A third-level qualification or equivalent Trade qualification with industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of project delivery to agreed service level requirements.
  • Customer focus and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to produce clearly written reports and present to diverse stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong leadership and competence in managing teams in a supervisory role.
  • Fully PC literate and experienced using Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems, Microsoft Office Project, CAD and CMMS database systems.
  • Able to adapt to new software packages as required.
  • A valid driving license.
  • A self-starter able to work as part of a team and work on own initiative.
