Support Worker and Activity Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Healthcare Assistant and Activities Coordinator.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, delivering person-centered support and care to individuals living with dementia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of activities promoting independence, choice, and dignity, while maintaining a safe and friendly environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Healthcare Assistant and Activity Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing an engaging schedule of activities
- Identifying and addressing resident care needs, ensuring an inclusive environment
- Participating fully in events and activities on site
- Providing personal assistance, support, and care to residents as needed
- Maintaining cooperative working relationships with residents' families
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A compassionate and engaging approach, with strong people skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to listen
- QQI level 5 qualification in Homecare Support or completion of two modules
- Good knowledge and experience of working/caring for older adults
- A client-focused, dedicated, and reliable attitude
- Awareness of dementia (beneficial but not compulsory)
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
This role offers flexible working arrangements, with 60 hours worked over two weeks. You will be required to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
