The CSSD Operative will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) at UPMC Whitfield Hospital.

This includes the preparation, cleaning, and sterilisation of surgical instruments and equipment, as well as the maintenance of accurate records and reports.

The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process surgical instruments and equipment for sterilisation.
  • Clean and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of all CSSD activities.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year's experience in a CSSD, pharmaceutical or clean room industry.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.
