NQ Solicitor - Personal Injury (Hearing Loss Claims)

The Team:

The Personal Injury team specialises in noise-induced hearing loss claims for factory and industrial workers and other industrial disease matters.


Role Responsibilities:
  • Managing caseloads of NIHL and industrial disease claims under supervision
  • Conducting liability investigations and instructing medical experts
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and legal correspondence
  • Negotiating settlement of claims
  • Attending court hearings and mediations where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with relevant protocols

Requirements:
  • Newly Qualified Solicitor (or qualifying in 2025) admitted in Northern Ireland
  • Interest in developing a career in personal injury and industrial disease litigation
  • Confident with strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with clients directly
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and client care skills
  • Team player who can also work independently when required

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Personal Injury team as a newly qualified solicitor and contribute to our continued success in this specialist area.

As a member of our team you will play a key role in managing caseloads of NIHL and industrial disease claims under supervision and conduct thorough investigations and instruct medical experts as required. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in drafting pleadings, witness statements and legal correspondence and negotiate settlements of claims in a professional and effective manner.

You will be expected to maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with relevant protocols at all times.

To succeed in this role you must be a newly qualified solicitor (or qualifying in 2025) admitted in Northern Ireland with a genuine interest in developing a career in personal injury and industrial disease litigation. You should be confident with strong interpersonal skills and experience dealing with clients directly.

Excellent communication, problem-solving and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage competing priorities.
