The role:
This critical procurement position requires strong contract negotiation skills, market analysis expertise, and the ability to identify areas for cost savings. You will be responsible for managing key vendors, mitigating risks, and developing a comprehensive procurement strategy to maximize savings.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage complex contracts with external providers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead commercial negotiations to secure cost savings and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and priorities, incorporating them into your procurement plan.
- Develop policies and procedures for procurement, risk management, and mitigation.
- Drive long-term supplier performance and ensure regular meetings with cross-functional teams to monitor progress.
- Maintain compliance with required standards, such as ISO, SOC 1&2, PCI, etc.
- Manage global travel spend and facility contracts.
Requirements:
- 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and contract management.
- Prior experience in fast-paced software technology environments is an advantage.
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management skills, with a track record of delivering cost savings and service improvements.
- Proven stakeholder influencing skills and experience in supplier development and commercial cost reduction.
- A proven record of managing senior-level internal and external relationships.
- Excellent presentation and influencing skills.
- A proven record in risk management in a similar industry.
- Strong commercial and business awareness to deliver business solutions within agreed timelines.
- Highly analytical and data-driven, with an advantage in using business intelligence tools.
