About the Job

We're looking for an exceptional Linux Kernel Architect to join our Ireland-based team. As part of our cutting-edge Core Platform team, you'll play a key role in developing next-generation System-on-Chip (SoC) for Compute, smartphone, IoT, and other product categories. Your technical expertise will drive industry-leading features across multiple device driver teams, ensuring seamless integration with Qualcomm's chipset portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have:
  1. SOC Development and/or Architecture Background, preferably in the Compute or Mobile space
  2. In-depth knowledge of Linux Kernel functionality, device driver development, and embedded systems architecture
  3. Experience in C and Data structures, preferably in developing Linux kernel
  4. Demonstrated ability to collaborate on projects with multiple teams and disciplines
  5. Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills in Linux Kernel. Familiar with ARM CoreSight architecture will be a plus
  6. Ability to develop and improve methodologies for experiments and analysis in the specific area of expertise
  7. Have the communication and collaboration skills to work with a large world-wide design organization
  8. Experience on Python/Perl will be a plus
  9. Assembly and C++ language experience is a plus
Responsibilities

This role involves:
  1. Managing and leading development and prototyping efforts for industry-leading features
  2. Delivering critical embedded drivers and associated features requiring significant pan-technology contributions
  3. Designing, testing, and documenting multiple drivers for internal and external consumption
