Cope Galway is a leading provider of services for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Emergency Accommodation Coordinator.
About the RoleThe Emergency Accommodation Coordinator will be responsible for sourcing and coordinating private emergency accommodation placements for individuals and families in need. This will involve working closely with local authorities, accommodation providers, and other stakeholders to identify suitable placements and ensure that they meet the required standards.
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders, including clients, accommodation providers, and colleagues. You will also have excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Duties and Responsibilities- Sourcing and coordinating private emergency accommodation placements
- Working with local authorities and accommodation providers to identify suitable placements
- Ensuring that placements meet required standards
- Managing relationships with accommodation providers and clients
- Providing administrative support for placement bookings and invoicing
- Liaising with other Cope Galway services to ensure seamless delivery of services
- 1 year's experience of working with homeless people and/or other vulnerable groups
- Understanding of the nature of homelessness and the needs of people experiencing homelessness
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Ability to treat clients in a non-judgmental and respectful way
- Excellent administrative, project management, and organizational skills
