Endoscopy Unit Manager

Job Description:

The Endoscopy Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Endoscopy unit, ensuring the provision of safe and efficient service to patients and colleagues.


Duties & Responsibilities:
  • General:
    • Manage patient care to ensure highest professional standards using evidence-based care planning approach.
    • Provide high level of professional and clinical leadership.
    • Ensure safe, comprehensive nursing care to service users within guidelines laid out by NMBI.
    • Participate in teams/meetings/committees as appropriate, communicating and working with other team members.
    • Facilitate coordination, cooperation, and liaison across healthcare teams.
    • Plan and organize schedules within Endoscopy, in conjunction with ADON.
    • Supervise day-to-day activities of endoscopy team.
    • Lead development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based policies, guidelines, and procedures for unit.
    • Lead accreditation process. Identify continuous quality improvements and develop quality programs in consultation with multi-disciplinary team.
    • Keep abreast of research and developments in nursing, update own knowledge, experience, and skills by continuous professional development.
