Job Description
We are seeking a talented Design Engineer - Product Development to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translating them into innovative, manufacturable product designs. This will involve utilising CAD software to create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings, as well as continuously evaluating and optimising designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and efficiency while maintaining product integrity.
You will also work in collaboration with Senior Design Engineers to identify and select appropriate materials for the manufacturing process, considering costs and performance factors. Additionally, you will implement quality control measures to ensure that products meet design specifications and industry standards, and create comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, design reports, and other relevant documentation.
Requirements
A degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering
3 years' experience in a similar role
Experience using Solid Works
