This professional will be responsible for delivering exceptional underwriting services to all HSB clients and brokers to a high technical standard, aligning with the Company's culture of service excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategically utilizing internal data and market analytics to inform underwriting decision-making and identify revenue opportunities within existing portfolios.
  • Proactively conducting account reviews to identify non-profitable accounts and ensuring appropriate action is taken in line with business objectives.
  • Effectively contributing to corporate revenue streams through strategic planning of key account activities, ensuring alignment with HSB's wider business ambitions.
  • Identifying and implementing new and innovative approaches to maximize new and existing business growth in line with wider business ambitions.
  • Affirmatively collaborating with the Dublin Regional Manager and Regional Underwriting Manager to generate new lead generation.
  • Actively utilizing current binding authorities, ensuring continuous professional development to ensure the needs of the team, the business, and its customers are achieved.
  • Responsible for populating and updating HSB's CRM with all activity and business interactions.
  • Maintaining exemplary customer service through the delivery of technical excellence and applying HSB's customer-first approach in all stakeholder management activities.
  • Engaging proactively with external stakeholders to maximize opportunities and staying aware of market developments.
  • Attending relevant industry and market-specific events, conferences, and networking activities to raise HSB's profile and market presence.
  • Collaborating with all segments to enable and support a culture of high performance within the Customer Trading Hub, leading by example in adhering to the HSB Professional Standards.
  • Supporting and working collaboratively as directed with all Segment Leadership teams, Customer Trading Hub manager, and team leader to achieve customer needs.
  • Attending broker meetings with BDMs as the technical underwriting lead and delivering presentations and training workshops as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal and industry and regulatory requirements at all times.
