Family Support Professional

At Speedeck, we strive for excellence in providing family support services. We are seeking a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young people and their families.
Job Description:This role involves delivering focused family intervention support to parents of young people engaged in Youth Diversion Projects with complex needs. The successful candidate will provide one-to-one support sessions in our service and through home visits, planning creative and innovative responses to families' needs to address specific issues.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and relationship building skills, as well as experience working with individuals/families, women's groups, parent's groups, and/or community development work. A full clean driving licence is also essential.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver family support services to meet the needs of our clients
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement case plans
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to our Child Safeguarding Policy
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised relevant third level qualification in Youth Work, Social Studies, Social Care, Addiction or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals/families, women's groups, parent's groups, and/or community development work
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Empathy and understanding
- Teamwork and organisational skills
- Record keeping and report writing skills
