Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing and collating accurate, detailed, and timely tenders for construction and electrical projects across Ireland and the UK.

Duties:
  • Prepare and submit tender documents that are correct and technically accurate.
  • Sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotations, analysing information for ambiguity, risk and qualification.
  • Ensure that tender documents are complete and meet customer requirements.
  • Timely preparation of and submission of electrical tenders.
  • Attend site visits and client briefings.
  • Work closely with clients and other colleagues to review tenders and handovers.
  • Finalisation of all tender bids and to attend pre-order meetings to secure contracts and hand over to Project Managers.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working as an Estimator or Electrical Engineer performing an Estimator role with well-established general contractor.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical and general IT skills.
  • A proven track record.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaising with customers to review, interpret, and understand customer electrical specifications/requirements.
  • Maintain electrical specification confirmations for all contracts, identifying and costing for upcharges and requesting concessions.
  • Developing key relationships with supply chain and with customers / specifies.
Working Conditions:
  • Ongoing work required in Waterford, Ireland, occasional travel between Ireland and UK.
