**Production Engineer Role Overview**

  • We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our team in automated trading desks. As part of this role, you will collaborate closely with strategy and infrastructure development teams.

In this position, you will work directly with technologists, traders, and quantitative research analysts to develop tools for monitoring and supporting the production environment on a highly automated trading desk. You will also have opportunities to learn about market microstructure and system risk.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing scripts for monitoring the state of the production environment and its dependencies.
  • Collaborating with the Platform Engineering team to assist in server imaging, testing, and deployment.
  • Acting as a liaison between the trading desk and network, security, market data, and platform teams for system-level production issues and new setups.
  • Monitoring and supporting a highly distributed production system.
  • Providing multi-level support for traders, strategists, and quantitative researchers.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in scripting languages (Python, bash, shell) required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with traders, quants, and other developers required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Excellent quantitative skills are strongly preferred.
  • Good understanding of financial instruments and markets is a plus.
  • Ability to work in office 5 days per week.
