About this Job:- This role involves reporting to the Head of Claims - EMELA as part of our expert regional claims team.
- You will work on UK-IRL claims assessment for both individual and group business in support of the Claims Manager Individual Business and the Claims Manager Group Business.
- The position requires assessing complex Life, Disability, and Critical Illness/Specified Illness claims in the UK-IRL market.
- You will share expertise with colleagues, maintain department productivity, quality, and turn-around-time standards.
- Closely collaborating with account managers, you will build and maintain proactive and positive working relationships with our clients.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as claims professionals, medical underwriters, medical advisors, client managers, pricing actuaries, and legal teams.
- Carrying out client claims auditing and process reviews.
- Key claims and process evaluation and input in market tenders and product development.
- Input and contribution to claims approach/philosophy and processes.
- Engagement in projects and process improvement initiatives.
- A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in Life (re)insurance claims within the UK/IRL market.
- Extensive experience with Life, Disability, and Critical/Specified Illness claims.
- Professional knowledge of standard Terms and Conditions, practices, exclusions, and legal standards in this market.
- A relevant qualification, such as Diploma in Claims, is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to apply internally and externally.
- Fluent English; another major language would be beneficial.
- A flexible, proactive team player with a can-do approach.
- An enquiring mind and willingness to continue learning.
