Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist

Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic team as a Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist in our Naas, Ireland office.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to work on a range of mining-related projects, including the design, monitoring, and assessment of water and tailings dams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical design and analysis, with experience in soil mechanics, dam engineering, and field and laboratory testing methods.

  • Conduct various engineering analyses and designs and contribute to practical solutions for challenging conditions.
  • Contribute to project designs, write technical reports, develop technical specifications and construction drawings, and develop tender packages for major tailings dams, mine waste facilities, containment facilities, and mine infrastructure projects.
  • Gain project management and field experience in site investigation, in-situ and laboratory testing interpretation, and construction monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Build and develop strong relationships with clients, multidisciplinary project teams, sub-contractors, and other project stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to work with an internationally recognized team on a diverse range of projects, such as mine infrastructure and tailings facility designs from permitting through to closure, hydro-electric and water storage dam designs and assessments, geohazard assessments, transportation engineering, seismic assessments, and much more.
