About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead our design and technical team in delivering high-quality projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in building services, with experience in managing design teams and coordinating technical information from planning permission to project completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate design teams to achieve best-in-class standards prior to tendering process.
  • Develop and agree on initial design deliverables and programmes with department heads and MD.
  • Adopt a 'best value' approach to minimize costs and maximize value.
  • Ensure all aspects of building design are fully coordinated, including structures, M&E, façades, internal specification, service strategies, and maintenance strategies.
  • Aid the PM in developing and managing the Design Programme, which forms part of the broader Master Development Programme.
  • Review design viability for off-site production and alternative methods of construction.
  • Lead the optimization process to deliver design excellence across schemes.
  • Manage external consultants and specialist subcontractors with design responsibilities, ensuring delivery against brief within set timescales and budgets.
