Financial Accounting Specialist Role

Our client, a reputable Construction & Engineering firm in Ireland, is seeking a Financial Accounting Specialist on a permanent basis. The role offers a very competitive salary and significant career progression.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Participate in month-end close processes and the preparation and management of financial statements across multiple entities and jurisdictions.">
  • Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of company balance sheets, including intercompany transactions.">
  • Maintain the integrity of bank reconciliations, manage payroll preparation, and monitor cash flow to support financial stability.">
  • Accountable for reconciling and reporting key Profit & Loss costs by business stream, with regular monthly reviews alongside budget holders.">
  • Drove continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and strengthen internal controls.">
  • Supported the annual budgeting process through data preparation, analysis, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with 3+ years PQE in a similar role.">
  • The ability to interact and communicate effectively with management and other departments in the organisation will be important to the role.">
  • Strong commercial awareness and good business acumen.">
  • Ensure accurate completion and punctual submission of reports and information as requested, based on numerical analysis and other relevant methodologies.">
  • Build effective relationships within the business and with external parties as required.">
  • Excellent communications skills, interacting confidently with others.">
  • The ability to multi-task is critical to carrying out the role.">
