Job Overview

A senior accounting professional sought to manage a team responsible for delivering high-quality fund accounting services.

The ideal candidate will oversee daily, weekly and month-end valuations, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of fund accounting processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team to deliver exceptional service standards and meet specified deadlines within a dynamic work environment.
  • Review and approve preparation of daily, weekly and month-end valuations, ensuring expertise is applied to interpret policies, guidelines and/or processes.
  • Strive towards the resolution of complex transactions, enhancing the team's ability to work collaboratively and consistently.
  • Responsible for generating ideas and assessing operational service models, providing input into system design requirements and department-level project work.
  • Participate in supporting the management and evolution of the operating model that fulfils client expectations while achieving efficiency and control objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and high-quality fund accounting processing, overseeing shared services offices (CoE's) and implementing new products, client or group initiatives in an efficient, controlled and scalable manner.
  • Proactively manage client relationships, ensuring service level agreement standards are met and exceeded.
  • Review monthly KPI and SLA reporting to ensure client service expectations are fulfilled.
  • Review control statistics and performance levels to ensure proactively risk is managed and in line with company risk-based approach.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with key operational groups, Investor Relations, Custody/Depositary, Product, IT and outsourced Centres of Excellence.
  • Responsible for proactive management of client development requests, efficiency initiatives, stakeholder relationships and related metrics.
  • Continuously reinforce internal and external customer quality service focus amongst the team, ensuring service delivery is controlled, scalable and efficient.
  • Maintain a process of continual review of the processes within the team to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve controls and processes with a view to advance automation.
  • Ensure high standard of training and competence of team members while ensuring succession plans are in place with strong career development focus for all those within the team.
  • Provide input and feedback to Senior Account Managers regarding employees' ongoing performance / development / performance appraisals.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-4 years in Hedge Fund Accounting, at least 2 at Supervisory level.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel etc).
  • Advanced knowledge in complex OTC derivatives.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance related field (preferred).
