About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Developer to join our team. As a key member of our project migration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and successful migration of complex SharePoint solutions to SharePoint Online.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Project Manager to plan development and migration from start to completion, focusing on efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Business Analyst to ensure a thorough understanding of requirements and their documentation, guaranteeing site functionality after migrating to SharePoint Online.
  • Develop new sites based on captured requirements approved by business owners.
  • Create effective solutions that meet requirements while meeting business owner expectations in areas like UX, performance, etc.
  • Provide expert knowledge to the team on existing SharePoint Migration SMEs and Developers, promoting best practices and ways of working.
  • Work independently on bug fixes and enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities in the end-to-end SharePoint Migration process for improvements and/or automation.
  • Unit test and support User Acceptance testing.
  • Document site development and creation to enable IT Operations to take over supporting the site.
  • Communicate clearly to Project and Programme Managers on status and challenges with site migrations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years advanced experience developing in Power Platform; ability to demonstrate experience.
  • Proven experience with tools like Sharegate or AvePoint for migration.
  • Deep understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, including modern sites, hubs, communication and team sites, and subsites (avoiding their usage as best practice).
  • Experience adopting modern SharePoint solutions and transferring classic SharePoint approaches and technologies.
  • Ability to use scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for administrative tasks and automation.
  • Desired, proven track record of implementing large-scale SharePoint Online solutions, including architecture, customization, and migration.
  • Preferably has worked in consultancy roles, managing expectations and delivering within tight deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Advanced knowledge on Power Platform.
  • High level of knowledge on SharePoint 2010, 2013, and SPOL.
  • High level of knowledge on ShareGate.
  • Desirable - Microsoft Power Platform/SharePoint certification.
  • Ability to present technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders, utilizing plain English language to address a wide variety of audiences.
  • High attention to detail.
