Role Overview

This part-time position supports a diverse patient population and works as part of a larger multidisciplinary team across multiple specialty clinics. The successful candidate will take clinical responsibility for managing warfarin patients, conducting blood pressure monitoring, supporting Holter monitor services, and assisting in consultant-led clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional care to all patients.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and interpersonal relationships with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a good team spirit and collaborative working practices.
  • Identify and discuss nursing/patient needs with consultants/nursing team, multidisciplinary team, patients and carers.
  • Accept responsibility and be accountable for the holistic care of a named group of patients on a shift basis.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care and patient safety at all times.
  • Demonstrate and promote a patient-centred style of clinical practice, acting as patient advocate at all times and provide emotional and psychological support to patients admitted to the unit for treatment.
Qualifications & Experience

Professional / Education

  • Registered Nurse with current registration.
  • Minimum 3 years' post-registration clinical experience, ideally in primary care, ambulatory care or hospital outpatient settings.
  • Experience in chronic disease management, anticoagulation or women's health is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.

Skills & Abilities

  • IT literate.
  • Certified in Basic Life Support.
  • Surgical clinical knowledge and skills.
