Job Role:

Oversee a team responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining complex tools, jigs, fixtures, and automation components as a Manufacturing Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day production activities including preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, breakdown repairs, and new tooling projects.
  • Operate and supervise work using CNC machines (EDM, Wire Eroder, CNC mill/lathe) and manual machinery (grinders, lathes, drills, welders).
  • Evaluate tooling quality and ensure it meets required standards.
  • Provide technical support to production and engineering departments.
  • Mentor apprentices and junior team members.
  • Maintain tooling records and participate in project launches and trials.
  • Enforce safety standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in toolmaking, preferably in an injection moulding environment.
  • Strong CNC and manual machining skills.
  • Familiarity with hot and cold runner systems and precision assemblies.
  • Experience with heat treatment and tooling finishing processes.
  • Leadership experience or willingness to take on a senior role.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
