Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machinery Technician to join our team in Leinster.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on forestry machinery, including harvesters and forwarders.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for mechanical engineering and a keen eye for detail.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of forestry machinery
  • Service key mechanical systems such as diesel engines, gearboxes, axles, hydraulics, and electrical components
  • Testing of new machines and completing pre-delivery inspections
  • Providing technical support to operators and reporting on common issues or potential improvements

Requirements:

  • Qualified plant fitter, HGV mechanic, or agricultural machinery technician
  • Hands-on experience working on heavy-duty machinery, ideally in forestry, construction, or agricultural sectors
  • Strong diagnostic skills and practical understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electronic controls
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of service
