Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Linux Platform Development team.

You will spend your day building infrastructure that powers our primary trading platforms, with design freedom to push our environment to new heights.

This role involves contributing to all phases of infrastructure growth, from initial requirements through final testing and implementation.

You will focus on extending and evolving the entire technical stack to build a stable, scalable, and optimized environment with minimal risk.

As a Specialist, you will engage directly with internal lines of business.

In this role, you will be given the autonomy to work independently, leveraging your skills in Linux platform development and automation.

You will partner closely with Strategy Developers and Quantitative Researchers to translate complex trading problems into scalable and highly performant hardware solutions.

Your work will have real impact, as you design and optimize systems that can process massive amounts of data while ensuring high performance and stability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Key Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of progressive experience building Linux based platforms
  • Familiarity with kernel-level and I/O subsystem tweaks and limit controls and tools such as vmstat, strace, tcpdump, and netstat
  • Recent hands-on experience with automation in Python or other tools

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++
  • Experience with Linux distribution management and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
